May is Missions Month!
The 2024 Link2Missions Gatherings will begin on Sunday, May 5. and continue on throughout the month of May. Each Sunday service will be a special time of focus on our Mission Partners and the work they are doing. Stay after the service on Sunday, May 5, 2024, and/or attend smaller home gathering the rest of the month to learn more about what our missionary partners and organizations are doing in our community, in our country and around the world.
- MAY 5: Link2Missions Sunday. 10AM Worship Service followed by our Link2Missions Lunch with Missionary Partners.

Feed6 Food Packing Event - May 19
Feed6 organizes meal packaging events in the Chicagoland area, partnering with schools, churches, corporations, and civic organizations. Volunteers come together to package nutritional meals of macaroni and cheese or basil and tomatoe fortified with soy and vitamins - producing an entree many multiples more nutritious than popular brands available in the supermarket. Each meal package our volunteers lovingly package has 6 meal portions.
On Sunday, May 19, we will partner with Feed6 and host a Meal packaging event so that we can pack more than 50,000 Basil & Tomatoe Pasta meals. These food packing events are fun, giving, caring experiences in which anyone of any age or background can participate. This will take place in our community room after the Worship Service.
The event will include a light lunch and food packing with multiple teams of 10-12 people and will run from noon to 3:30 pm. If you, or a group from your ministry would like to be involved, we would love to have you.
Here's how we need you to participate. First:
GIVE $17,000 = 50,000+ MEALS
- 8 PEOPLE to Give $500 = 12,000 MEALS
- 15 PEOPLE to Give $250 = 11,250 MEALS
- 40 PEOPLE to Give $100 = 12,000 MEALS
- 100 PEOPLE to Give $50 = 15,000 MEALS
- 25 KIDS & TEENS to Give $5 = 375 MEALS
Secondly, we need you to:
VOLUNTEER TO PACK FOOD
These food packing events are for everyone (young and not so young anymore). So plan to stay after the Worship Service to Serve the World by packing food for those in need.
The 50,000 Meals we pack at WSBC will be shipped to Ukraine.
Every $1 Given = 3 Meals
