Core Class

Core Classes typically meet weekly during the Ministry Year (Sept.- May).

The Core Class is our initiative for "Sunday School" born out of a desire to do what "Sunday School" is meant to do, namely, disciple our congregants toward maturity in Jesus through learning Bible and theology.  This ministry year, we believe that the Core Class will be a place where our church can Grow in the GRACE God has GIVEN biblically and theologically and Go Serve in Community selflessly and compassionately DRIVEN by that GRACE for the Glory of Jesus and His Gospel.  We are Grace Given & Grace Driven!

SCHEDULE

CURRENTLY, THERE IS NO CORE CLASS ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS.
  • Wednesday Nights, 7-8pm
    • in the Fireside Room for Adults
  • Sunday School hour, 11:30-12:30pm,
    • in the Fireside Room for Adults following the Sunday Worship Service

The Core Class often presents the same teaching and material utilizing our subscription to RightNow Media and led by a terrific team of facilitators.  Our goal is for you to join us in discovering and displaying the Transformation that can only be experienced in and through Jesus Christ!

Torah Class

Mondays, 7:00pm
Room 202
The Torah Class at WSBC is taught by James Ward.   Over the last 20+ years of study and teaching, James finds that the Torah provides the primary pathway into the mind of God.  Although he is always  prepared to teach, he prefers a class with a combination of lecture and open discussion.  This class also makes use of the extra-biblical Jewish literature like Jubilees, Enoch, Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs, and Talmud.
 
Explore the Jewish Torah with us!  We'll dig deeper into the truth of God's revelation to His People through the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, namely the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.
