WESTERN SPRINGS BAPTIST CHURCH | THE VILLAGE CHURCH
Dear Western Springs Baptist Church,
It is so comforting to know in these uncertain times that we have a firm foundation in our wonderful Lord. I hope that you are not giving way to fear, but are sensing the Holy Spirit’s comfort and power. For all of us the Covid-19 pandemic is impactful and it will now change how we do life together as a church. Following the mandate of the CDC and the directive of President Trump that we not gather in groups larger than ten people, it is clear that we cannot and should not meet together in coming days. Therefore, we are cancelling all of the meetings and activities here at the church until further notice.
We will not worship together in person next Sunday but encourage you to join us for online worship. Pastor Steve is preparing a service and I am preparing a sermon that we will share on video next Sunday Morning, so join us at 9:00am by accessing the service on our website: wsbc.info/live-stream and Facebook: www.facebook.com/WSBCVillageChurch.
We hope that you will gather with your family and worship with us from your home. The video will remain online to re-watch or share with your friends and family.
Please plan to regularly visit our church website: wsbc.info/home and use our social media during these weeks in order to stay connected with one another, receive updates from our staff and to continue your stewardship of giving. If you have spiritual or physical needs please communicate with us, by calling the church office at 708-246-1530 or by email at wsbc@wsbc.info or dean@wsbc.info. I also encourage you to minister to one another and to your neighbors. Let others know of the love of Christ and the support of the body of believers. As Paul says, “shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.” (Phil. 2:15-16)
Now is the time for us to know the love of Christ and to experience its power in our lives, and to share the reason for our hopefulness in an uncertain world. Remember, as I said Sunday: “the future is as bright as the promises of God.”
In Christ,
Pastor Dean
