EXPLORE GOD: Why Does God Allow Pain & Suffering?

2 Corinthians 4:8-10; Romans 8:18; 1Peter 5:9-10; Romans 5:3-5

• The problem:
  • If there is a loving, all-powerful God, he would rid the world of evil now. Since he does not, there must not be a God – and if there is, he is either not loving or not all-powerful, either of which makes him unworthy of worship.
• The solution:
  • There is a God who is all-powerful and who is loving, but who nevertheless allows real evil and suffering in our world for his greater purpose.
