What We Believe

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, given by the Holy Spirit through inspired men, are the Word of God, and therefore are the supreme authority for our faith and life.
We believe in one God, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in essence and glory, yet distinct in activity and office.
We believe that God the Father is the source, sustainer, and the end of all things; that God the Son is the medium of divine revelation and redemption, who became incarnate through a virgin birth, made atonement for our sins through his death upon the cross, was resurrected, and ascended into heaven to intercede for us until he comes again as lord of all; that God the Spirit reproves the world of sin while he regenerates every believer to new life in Christ.
We believe that mankind is sinful both by nature and by choice, and that God reconciles the sinner to himself by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
We believe the Church is that spiritual body of all redeemed, of which Christ the Redeemer is the head: that its visible manifestation is the local church; that its ordinances were initiated by our lord: believer's baptism by immersion, symbolizing the death and burial of the old life and rising to the new, and the lord's Supper, a memorial to Christ's death for us; and that its task is the evangelization of the world.
We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, the believer's hope, when this present age shall culminate in final judgment: the redeemed resurrected to eternal life, and the unredeemed to eternal separation from God.
